UTAH AND THE SINGLE MOMS
My first visit to Utah had me speechless. I fell in love with this magical city of white snow and beautiful skies. I hadn’t been in “real snow” in over 15 years since my last visit to Tahoe. Being in the snow made me feel like a kid all over again. I laughed, ran, played, smiled, and made snowballs.Being in Utah got me thinking… as single moms we spend so much time taking traditional vacations, or going to places that everyone has been to that when we venture off the beaten path it’s refreshing, and can bring a new found joy.

I had some important first time moments while in Utah; going skiing for the first time was one of them. This will be a fond memory that I will cherish forever. Another first was that I experienced taking ski lessons on the bunny slopes. The instructors were very patient and made sure that no man, woman or child was left behind, and thank goodness because I was struggling. It took time for me to really get the hang of it. Once you learn how to balance your weight and position your feet you really can take-off. The best part, I got to meet some awesome newcomers to skiing such as myself, we bonded over falls to the ground and hot chocolate!
I am planning another trip to Utah at the top of 2018 and this time I am going to take the kids. Stay tuned for my next Single Mom Travel Adventure.
